I often wonder what motivates dogs to act a certain way. How do they see the world to make them act the way they do?
My dog has a large white bear which he shows an aggression which he doesn’t show his other toys. He humps it, he growls at it, and tosses it around like it’s done something to piss him off. I wonder why he does it. And then laugh at him.
The style of this comic was inspired by a book I purchased last weekend. This book has art from the various Pixar movies and shorts, including colorscripts of each film. I’d never heard of the term before, and I’m not sure how widely it is used, but basically it is a scene by scene study of colour and lighting. It’s a way to get a sense how what the scene will look and feel like without having to make it first. The style comes from the Incredibles colorscript, all slick and sharp lines, and the first they did digitally.
It’s an absolutely beautiful book, and makes you understand the lengths Pixar go to to make such amazing films.
My favourite Pixar film is Up, just in case you care.
“I was hiding under the porch because I love you!”
So there ends my mini post about dogs and Pixar.
